    Good software engineers from top engineering institutes such as legacy IITs and BITS Pilani are able to get max CTC of Rs 15 Lakhs in Indian IT industry for job location in India. Average salary of a software engineer fresher is Rs 3Lakh per annum.

    It depends on the organization offering the job. It may go up to lakhs and crores in IITs. On an average, software engineer gets around 3-3.5 lakhs per annum.

    Hi,
    As only few of the colleges in India the software engineering branch, one of the best is DTU, Delhi. It's average salary offering is approximately 6-7 LPA.
