What is the MDS fee structure in semi-government dental colleges?

It depends heavily on the state, quota (government / management / private / NRI), branch (clinical vs non-clinical), and whether the college is fully government, semi-government, private, or “self-financing.” What I can do is show you typical ranges from recent data, and what you should check when you assess a semi-govt or government-aided dental college's MDS fees.</p><p data-start="612" data-end="666">From recent published fee schedules and college-lists:</p><ul data-start="668" data-end="1280"><li data-start="668" data-end="932"><p data-start="670" data-end="932">In some fully government/state-run dental colleges, MDS tuition fees remain quite low. For example: Government Dental College Thiruvananthapuram reports a total MDS fee of ≈ ₹1.56 Lacs for the entire 3-year MDS course.</p></li><li data-start="668" data-end="932"><p data-start="670" data-end="932">In another listing, “government dental colleges” are shown to have many MDS courses with annual fees under ₹1 Lacs or in the low-₹ Lacs bracket.</p></li><li data-start="933" data-end="1120"><p data-start="935" data-end="1120">According to a summary list for a state (in Kerala), the “government college” MDS fee is around&nbsp;₹45,000 per year.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p data-start="1282" data-end="1543">Thus — for a genuinely government / low-fee public (or semi-government/state-aided) dental college, it's realistic to expect total course fees in the ballpark of ₹1–2 Lacs (overall 3-year program), or ₹30,000–₹70,000 per year, depending on the state.</p><p data-start="1545" data-end="1699">That said — not all “semi-govt” or minority-aided colleges charge so little: such colleges might fall somewhere between fully government and private fees.</p>
