What is the meaning of management quota seats?

  • Hello Jagriti,
    Management quota is a way to get admission in a college by paying a huge amount of money even if you are not eligible to get a seat there. People with more money tend to admit their wards in a reputed institution by paying a lot of money. It will be around 4-6 lakhs per annum or more, but the regular fee of the college could be only 1-2 lakhs per annum.
    It also happens in some colleges where even if you have taken their entrance exam and got a low rank which is not enough for admission.
    I think only private colleges/universities do this. Most of the government colleges will not have this and the highly reputed institutions
