For admission to the University of Southampton, international applicants must have an IELTS score of at least 6.0. Also if English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate that you are adequate in the language to benefit from your university studies in speaking, writing, and understanding it.

passed a recognised English test with a qualifying score, or
a first degree earned from a British university where English was the language of instruction and assessment, or
