You need to score 30 % to 40 % Marks of the total marks for qualifying the exam, or else if you meet the following criteria based on JEE-Mains, then and only you can get admission in LPU for B.Tech programme, (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants)
You must have minimum 80 Percentile if you want to join any B.Tech programme, if you have the 80 Percentile, then you will have an exemption for not appearing in the LPU NEST Exam which is a mandatory entrance exam for joining LPU. And also he needs to meet the following:

As you have not mentioned programme name you are interested in so I can't tell you exactly the course requirement. LPU offers 200+ programmes and every programme eligibility, admission criteria and other details vary. It's advisable for you to go through their website www.lpu.in or call on LPU tollfree number given on LPU official website in order to know the programme, eligibility, admission and other details. Recently I heard admissions for 2020 admission session is still ongoing and the last date to apply is 30th November. LPU offers the 200+ programmes in different disciplines including the Diploma, Graduation, Post Graduation and Doctorate Programmes. The eligibility criteria is different for the each programme. In some programmes like Engineering programmes LPU NEST is compulsory. The student can take direct admission in the Programmes in which there is no entrance test. The student have to qualify the required eligibility of the programme.
