To qualify for the MBA (IT) programme at Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) Pune, candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade (45% for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes) in their graduation from a recognised university or institution of national importance. Additionally, applicants in their final year of studies can apply, but their admission is contingent upon achieving the specified minimum marks (50% or 45%, as applicable) in the qualifying examination.

A minimum cumulative of 50% in the candidate's undergraduate degree is needed to be admitted to the SICSR Pune MBA programme. In addition, the student who achieves a minimum CGPA of 4 out of a maximum of 10 CGPA for the programme is awarded a degree by the university.
