What is the minimum percentage that I should get in JEE Advanced to get into IITs? I belong to general category.

Hi Latha, The marks scored in the JEE Advanced depend on the difficulty level of the paper and the marking pattern. Everybody expects the questions to be tough, JEE Advanced is never a cakewalk. However, the marking pattern adds further complexities to an already tough paper. However, it can be safely said that if a general category student has an AIR of approximately 5000 he/she can get one of the IITs because the general category seats are 50% of the total number of 10k seats. At the same time, there are other institutes that use the JEE Advanced scores too.
