What is the minimum qualification required to apply for the CUSAT CAT 2024 exam?

<p>CUSAT CAT is the acronym of Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test. Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria like age limit, educational qualification, percentage, etc. to apply for CUSAT CAT 2024. The eligibility criteria for each courses are mentioned below</p><p>Marine Engineering -</p><ul><li>&nbsp;Secured 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognised Board.&nbsp;</li><li>Studied in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English in the qualifying examination.&nbsp;</li><li>Secured minimum 50% in the English subject either in Class 10 or in Class 12 (applicable to all the categories).&nbsp;</li><li>Candidates have to submit physical fitness and eye fitness certificates as well. The certificate should be obtained from Medical Examiners and approved by DG Shipping</li></ul><p>Naval Architecture &amp; Ship Building -</p><ul><li>Scored 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 examination or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognised Board.&nbsp;</li><li>Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics should be the compulsory subjects along with the other subjects in the qualifying examination.&nbsp;</li><li>Obtain 50% in the Mathematics subject.&nbsp;</li><li>Must have scored 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Instrumentation &amp; Technology -</p><ul><li>Obtained 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together in the qualifying examination.&nbsp;</li><li>Obtain 55% in the Mathematics subject.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Polymer Science &amp; Engineering -</p><ul><li>Passed Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as an optional subject or any other equivalent examination with 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognised Board.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Secured 50% in the Mathematics subject.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>There is no stipulated age limit to apply for the CUSAT CAT 2024 exam.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The minimum qualification required for the B.Tech. programmes as per the CUSAT CAT prospectus is mentioned below:</p><ul><li>A candidate should pass a plus-two examination of the State of Kerala or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects, securing a separate minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together.</li><li>Also, candidates who belong to the Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) communities are eligible to apply if they have minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination.&nbsp;</li><li>SEBC candidates from Kerala State belonging to the non-creamy layer category are eligible for 5% relaxation in the minimum required marks for the qualifying examination.&nbsp;</li></ul>
