Yes, Engineering Mathematics is compulsory and common for all TS PGECET papers. The syllabus of TS PGECET Engineering Group comprises following topics -

• Probability and Statistics
• Numerical Methods

Yes, the TS PGECET and GATE syllabus remains the same for M.Tech admission. However, GATE questions are trickier and conceptual compared to TS PGECET. Students who want to appear both TS PGECET and GATE must prepare accordingly-

• Go through pattern of both exams and syllabus
• Solve mock test and question paper for accuracy
• While filling application form enter paper code carefully.

The TS PGECET 2026 question paper will contain a total of 120 questions, which are objective-based. For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded. GATE or GPAT qualifiers don't need to take the exam—they get direct preference.
