It is different for different categories. 70 for general, 50 for OBC and 30-40 for SC/ST. This can differ for every exam.

The minimum cut off marks for JEE Main 2017 was 81 marks for general category students. By this, we can determine that in order to qualify for the exam, students need to attempt at least 21 questions correctly out of 90 questions of JEE Main test paper.
