If we only consider placements, then CSE is the best branch in NIT Surathkal. This branch has a great placement record. NIT Surathkal's CSE average package is around INR 15-17 LPA. If you want to join government sectors, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical are comparably better. You need to prepare for IES for these jobs. If you want to join PSUs then Chemical Engineering is a good option. In private sector, Chemical Engineering has limited scope.
