The 2023 modification to the GRE design reduced the test's time from three hours and forty-five minutes to around one hour and fifty-eight minutes. Less testing time for each section and fewer questions are two significant adjustments. There is now only one essay in the Analytical Writing component,

Check out two important changes in GRE Exam Pattern:

  1. GRE Exam test duration is less than 2 hours (1 hour and 58 minutes). Earlier, it was 3 hours and 45 minutes.
  2. There are five sections in the exam to assess Analytical Writing, Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning. Earlier, there were 6 section

You are permitted to retake GRE every 21 days. With a limit of up to five attempts within any continuous 12 months period. 

Exam is available year round. You have flexibility to choose a new date.

The GRE test center provides it. You must return all sheets before leaving. You can not bring your own pens or paper into the room. So, keep these things in mind.
