    Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, formerly known as Purvanchal University, is a renowned affiliating university located in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established on October 2, 1987, to provide higher education to the region's students. The university was renamed in honour of the late Shri Vir Bahadur Singh, who was a prominent politician and former Chief Minister of the state.
