If previous year's trends are to be followed, an open category candidate must obtain a NIMCET rank between 30 to 40 to get MCA admission in NIT, Tiruchirappalli. However, this is an indicative cutoff. Candidates who score within this rank range stand better chances to get admission in NIT, Trichy.

Candidates who qualify for NIMCET can register ofr NIMCET counelling process. Based on the valid rank obtained by candidats, NIT Trichy released the final clsoing rank. As per the ranking data released for the year 2023 for NIT Trichy MCA course, the last round closed with rank 48. This rank is applicable for All-India General category candidates.
