What is the option that NCC student is having in the future if study from LPU?

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the Indian military cadet corps which works to inculcate the qualities of discipline and patriotism among youth of the nation. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. Being an alumni of Lovely Professional University, I have this knowledge that LPU provides chance for the students to join NCC too. At LPU there are two wings. NCC Army Wing NCC Airwing "A - Flight Family" Student can join NCC in the wing he or she has an interest in. Additionally, after joining NCC student can also pursue for the UPSC CDSE Exam. However, special classes are also given to the student who has an interest in joining Indian armed forces after completing graduation. Lovely Professional University had also hosted ten-day annual NCC campus of 2nd Punjab Girls NCC Battalion at its campus. Organized from 3rd to 12th August, the camp had infused among cadets the importance of duty and discipline. NCC cadets were imparted training in handling weapons, drill, signals, map reading, first aid, national integration, civil defence, ecology, leadership and more. Cultural and seminar activities were also held at two much capacity auditoriums of LPU on different days. Where they got a lot of exposure at national level camps. Moreover, students who attended National level camps like RDC were also honoured by the University with cash prizes. Some of the LPU students who enrolled themselves into NCC were selected for the Delhi Republic Day Parade. Where they got a lot of exposure at national level camps.

LPU believes The NCC, which is one of the premier youth organizations in our country, contributed to propagating national unity and integrity amongst youth. Its role in instilling in them the values of character, discipline, and hard work and in shaping them into dynamic and responsible citizens of the country had been well recognised. Students can join NCC in the interesting wing. Additionally, after joining NCC students can also pursue the UPSC CDSE Exam. However, special classes are also given to the student who has an interest in joining the Indian armed forces after completing graduation. It will permit students enrolled as NCC cadets to receive academic credits for NCC training, and avail employment incentives offered under various central and state government schemes. Lovely Professional University takes the first step to provide such deeds recently LPU hosted a ten-day annual NCC campus of the 2nd Punjab Girls NCC Battalion at its campus. You will be exempted from appearing in the written exam for entry into defence. Directly eligible for SSB ( Service Selection Board) There is some reservation for NCC C- Certificate holder in UPSC CDS and are given preference. Reliance Industries Pvt. Ltd. also provides reservation and preference for C-Certificate Holders in the job for the role of TECHNICAL SECURITY OFFICER. Various state government. Also provides reservation of few seats or preference to NCC Certificate holders in jobs and educational institutions. Yes! Lovely Professional University- LPU provides National Cadet Corps (NCC) - India on the campus. It has 100+ NCC Cadets. Lovely Professional University hosted a ten-day annual NCC campus of 2nd Punjab Girls NCC Battalion at its campus. Near 440 NCC cadets, from different colleges and schools of the Doaba region attended the camp. NCC cadets from 8th, 12th, and 21st NCC battalions were also included in this camp. Camp Commandant Colonel Rajender Yadav, Deputy Commandant Lt Col Satish Yadav, Camp some Goal Thapa, and other JCOs, NCOs, Associate NCC officers expressed their satisfaction and happiness over all the channelization processes meted out to them through LPU administration. Colonel Yadav said: We are thankful to the LPU administration for helping us in the smooth conduction of such a vast camp stretched up to ten days. Working in the congenial LPU environment, we have been successful in achieving the aim of the camp to provide a spirit of teamwork, self-discipline and to make cadets understand their responsibility towards society and nation. In fact, LPU is ever-ready for sharing different social responsibilities as needed from time to time. This huge coordination with NCC battalions is also on the same lines.
