What is the passing score for CAT?

Passing score for CAT .A Student of Competency Level shall be declared to have passed the CAT (Common Admission Test) Examination if he secures a minimum of 40 percent marks in each section and an aggregate of 50 percent of total marks. For IIMs, nothing less than 97-98 percentile is good but for other top MBA colleges, 90-95 percentile is good. A majority of CAT test takers fall in the category of 80-90 percentile and 100s of B-schools accept candidates having CAT scores in this range.
