The CDS examination is conducted offline through pen and paper mode. As per the latest update by UPSC about the CDS examination, the IMA, IFA and AFA, the paper will be divided into three sections - general knowledge, English Language and Elementary Mathematics. The duration of each paper is 2 hours.
