The UGEE consists of two sections:
Section 1: SUPR (Subject Proficiency Test) – Tests fundamental knowledge in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
Section 2: REAP (Research Aptitude Test) – Assesses analytical and logical reasoning skills as well as aptitude for research.
The exam is usually conducted in a computer-based format.
