    The pattern of entrance examination for admission for Ph.D. in Life Sciences is slightly different in each university or research institution, but mostly they follow more or less this pattern :-

    General Pattern
    Mode of Examination :-

    Online (Computer-Based Test) or Offline (Pen-and-paper test)
    Duration :-

    Usually spends between 2-3 hours
    Sections :-

    Part A: General Aptitude
    Involves questions in Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, and Basic Mathematics.
    Mainly tests analytical skills and comprehension.
    Part B: Subject-Specific Questions
