As per my knowledge and findings, I must say that LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. LPU is far way ahead with any other institute in many parameters such as rankings, exposure and placements. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Let me highlight what I have out figured: LPU adopts new technologies faster than anyone, they update their curriculum even after each semester by taking feedback from the students and also to meet the la

M.Tech is a postgraduate degree of two years. It is one of the most demanding courses among the Software Engineering domain. This course covers all the aspects of technicality related to programming and software development. There is option for specialisation like Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Database Management Techniques etc. Advantage is that getting M.Tech you can get a research or teaching or SRF jobs with a good package. Sometimes its also valuable to get promotion and project according to qualification. Being alumni, I believe Its Lovely Professional University you should go for pursuing your M.Tech.

In B.Tech, you have to study all the engineering subjects, But if you opt for B.Tech Hons. Then you have to study only one of the engineering subjects in more depth. So, in B.Tech you have to study all the subjects given by colleges. But in B.Tech Hons. You have to study only one subjects which you like the most and you get specialisation only in one subjects. So, according to my opinion, B.Tech Hons. Is the best option, In nowadays there is a very great demand for Hons. Degree. Choosing the best university with good placement is also important, I would recommend LPU based on my research that I have done by interacting LPU B.Tech stude

As a ex CSE student of LPU, I can answer this question better. CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Professors are easily approachable in the college and are well experienced. They are very supportive of all technicalities. Students can contact them anytime for their study purpose. The latest teaching methods are used in the classroom. Curriculum in CSE branch is very well designed such that they can lear

LPU strongly believes in the fact that learning doesn't happen only by books equal amount of external exposure is much needed for the holistic development of one self. In order to nurture such approach the university conducts multiple live project, floor job trainings and runs specialised curriculum that builds insightful understanding of concept and its applicability. Some of the industrial Tie-ups include Google, SAP, Cisco, Bosch, Dell EMC, VMware, PEGA Systems, Intel, Microsoft, and many tech giants enforcing the students to adapt to the technology advances. LPU is nurturing students to adapt and be equipped with this ever-changing scenario. LPU offers many streams under M.Tech and CSE is one of the famous of all. What I heard is, the curriculum is taught by the experienced and highly qualified faculty not sticking to any book but aligning the course outcomes in line with industry and academia. Labs are well furnished and are having equipment required to meet the standards and to inculcate the necessary skill set. A couple of companies visited this year for M.Tech recruitment. LPU offers the post for faculty also for highly deserving candidates at the end of the course. The placements for

Shortlisting criteria for placement always differ from company to company. It's purely depends upon the requisite Job profile or domain of that particular company. As per my knowledge, companies always keep shortlisting criteria nominal instead bare minimum. There are huge numbers of campus placement drive used to be organized in LPU every year for all the students. As far as placement of M.Tech. CSE students are concerned, below is the placement record / scenario of last year.
    1) 31 LPA is the highest package of the batch (Code Nation)
    2) 5.24 LPA is average salary package
    3) nearly 90% students get placed till now
    4) Students are placed

Hi there,

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT,   commerce,   arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .

I hope this helps,

Thank you.

Both Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are known for engineering, but if we think of Electrical Engineering, LPU appears better in many ways. As a student, I personally feel that LPU has a very practical approach to learning. Their labs are state of the art, and well-resourced, and I find that the faculty usually support us to work on real-time projects, which build confidence to take on challenges in industry. The university brings many industry professionals for guest lecturers, and have affiliations with top companies in the world, so this gives students a greater opportunity for internships and pla

Seat allotment during the LPU NEST counselling effectively takes place based on your merit (exam) rank, as well as the preferences you fill to course/specialisations while you log in to the portal for admissions after your results are out. After you log in to the counselling portal after the results go out, you need to honestly fill your choices of course/specialization. LPU will then look for which rank you are in the merit list, check availabilities, and allocate seats accordingly based on your previously chosen course/specialization seats and rank. The seat allotment process of counseling purely works on merit, so the students who s
