Dear Vishal, I don't know the placement record in MBA for the previous year batch at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal but being alumni of LPU, I can share the placement record for an MBA at LPU. Every year more than 550+ companies visit LPU for placements. LPU has a very good placement and achieved awards for employability also. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the program. The highest package available for the management programme is 21 LPA. The Students are placed in the best brands like Amazon, Federal bank, Delhivery, Asian Paints, Berger Paint, Bajaj Electricals, Colgate Palmolive, HUL, ITC, Loreal, Marico, MRF, Vodafone, etc. LPU received an Employability award by Aspiring Mind in 2020 for best placement Institute in India. I am an alumnae of LPU and had witnessed the overall system of education in there. The reason I say LPU is the BEST because in the process of Engineering the university also worked on my overall development. Whatever I am today is because of the training and learning I had it from there. The complete system of the university is as per the corporate model. Starting right from the conduction of classes, time management and ums, deadlines and assignment submissions, club activities, student engagement programs, hackathons and competitions. It all boosted our overall development. I had many friends who were from MBA. During their course they were made to take up live projects and work on it. Certain few also got stipends which boosted their moral and also trained them on working model of real time task at job. Indeed LPU MBA has wide variety of choices and specialization options, the curriculum of which makes it more industry friendly and beneficial. LPU MBA there is immense amount of exposure as well as academic-industry interactions happening throughout the year. In the previous years, around 20 recruiters have hired MBA students from School of Management, NITK, Surathkal. From the batches of 2013-15 and 2014-16, approximately 30 students were placed through campus. Recruiters included Vmware, Tech Mahindra, Ernst and Young etc. The placements in the batch of 2015-17 were low. This year so far, 6 students have been placed. This will be updated. The placements each year depend on the students as well as the placement co-ordinators. Students need to work on securing good internships offers and networking in order to get companies to hire them.

Placements were not so good for the 15-17 batch. But, in 16-18 batch, 50% of the students have PPO and placement offers in their hand.

2017 pass out batch has fewer placements from on-campus recruiters. Odessa, Tech Mahindra, HDFC are the companies that came for on-campus placements. Only 8 people got selected in the on campus. The highest package was Rs 7 lakhs per annum. Highest package from off-campus was Rs 8.5 lakhs per annum. This year, for 2018 pass out batch, 6 students got placed in Infinity Research in September 2017. Placements depend on the students and the efforts of placement cell committee.
