For VIT Chennai, the no. of students who sat for placements were around 200 (maybe a little more). The number of core companies which came for placements in 2016 are as follows: L&T Godrej Vedanta Shapoorji pallonji The no. of students recruited by each were 23, 7, 1, 2 respectively. The exact dat

The placement of the civil department is not good, people from civil department are mostly placed in mass recruitment or consultancy services. I won't suggest you to take VIT, Chennai if you want placement in the civil department. But if you prefer doing higher study then you can take.
