Hi Isahna, The highest package offered was 31 LPA and the average salary was 4 Lacs. The MCA programme at LPU is in accordance with the diverse needs of the industry. The programme aims at grooming the students in a professional way so that they can flourish in the corporate IT Sector. MCA is more focused towards practical implementation of various computing aspects such as programming, databases, networking, web development etc. The eligibility for the course is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in BCA or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or B.Sc. (Information Technology) or any Graduation with Computer Science as a subject for three years or B.A. Or B.Com or B.Sc. (any Graduation) with (Mathematics as one of the subjects at Graduation or 10+2 level) or equivalent. In case a student has not studied computer as a subject in graduation, then he/she shall have to go through bridge/ additional courses (subjects) which may be scheduled before the commencement of classes or along with the regular classes. Students need not pay any additional amount for bridge/ additional courses. Clearing LPU NEST is a must. Student may be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European The topics dealt with in the course are Analysis & design of complex problems, Coding skills, Ethics, Communication, Societal Impact. As per my knowledge and findings, LPU is one of the best universities to pursue MCA. Scholarships are provided on the basis of graduation scores. The campus environment is good. Placements: Placements of this university are awesome, and many companies like Amazon, CTS, TCS, Flipkart, and Solve, etc. , visit the campus for placements. Almost 90% of students get placed during the course, while the placements also depend on the students' performance. LPU offers all of the above-mentioned courses with certain eligibility and needs the LPU NEST entrance test to qualify for availing scholarships and further Admission into the programme. There were many Trainings, projects and guest lectures collaborated with industries help to learn from real life situations. LPU will encourage students to have maximum industrial exposure through visits for problem identification and emerging technologies. LPU give you a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements. Try not to miss those classes they will help you in getting better placements, after all, all we need is a decent place with good exposure. Also in today generation knowledge and education is not only based on textbooks but also on the outside world, thinking out of the box and overall learning that's why LPU offers their students to participate in a lot of activities and events, the environment of LPU is very good and the academics tasks of LPU are so well planned that even in a course like Engineering you'll be able to manage time for exploring other things.
