Students are exposed to Commercial farms (100 acres) to know-how that create an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. They were also engaged in complete cultivation practice of seasonal crops for 6 months, wherein land preparation till harvesting and marketing of the final products will be done by student to expose farming experience. Profit earned by selling solely shared by students of a group. The highest numbers of PhDs as faculty members are enrolled in School of Agriculture faculty members throughout the LPU university. These experienced faculty members mostly engaged in consultancy, research and publication to add immense value to the academic life. Sharing life-based experience and suggesting personality development steps time to time. Placement Insight Due to ICAR accreditation large numbers of companies are visiting the campus. More than 44, 46 and 43 renowned firms and industries are on board for on campus and off campus drive in 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 respectively. Around 90% of the students getting placed every year. Among the drive conducted the major associates were with Syngenta pvt. It is good pursuing a B.Sc. In Agriculture from LPU for better career prospects in the field of agriculture. B.Sc. Agriculture degree offers a number of avenues for growth. The graduates desirous of specializing may opt for a Masters programme. Academics here are planned and executed in such a way that students learn from the basics to the current technology in the industry. The university has well-equipped laboratories, a library, lecture rooms, and an excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. Also, programs under the Agricultural domain are ICAR accredited which makes your degree more valuable if done from LPU. And let me tell you that LPU is the first private university to ICAR accreditation. Not just good placements but LPU also provides ample opportunities to its students for placements, internships and gives industrial exposure as well to its students in terms of guest lectures, workshops, industrial visits. Last year, their agriculture student from LPU bagged a Package of 1 CRORE. LPU students have got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Placement in agriculture course in LPU is good. But the I would recommend Chandigarh University for Agriculture course. Firstly I want to share ranking of Chandigarh university is among top 30 universities of India. 900+ companies visited recently and the highest package of 53.11 LPA offered. 9500+ placements being achieved recently. University is also having A+ grade accredited by NAAC. Apart from this excellent infrastructure and well qualified faculty members are leading to quality education for nation building.
