What is the placement scenario for biotechnology course at LPU?

Patents are granted for inventions, there are lectures from experts, Workshop was conducted in LPU in collaboration with University of Victoria, Canada, on improving quality of wash water from car wash sites under IC-IMPACTS funded project entitled Contaminated land reclamation using hybrid absorbable landscape and native plant species with real-time monitoring to improve public health in Punjab So far the students are placed in companies like Zyla Health, PIMS, Titan Biotech, MoonFrog, Intertek, Meditab, Cryoviva Biotech, Poly Medicure Ltd. , DXC Technology, Nanoveda Solutions, etc. The highest package offered was 9.55LPA (CABINET SECRETARIAT, GOI). .

Hi Sameeksha, The average CTC offered to B.Sc. Biotechnology students is INR 2.24 LPA. The highest package offered to the students is INR 10 LPA. Students who have graduated with B.Sc. Biotechnology degree from LPU receive 100% placements. Being an alumnae of this LPU School of Biotechnology I can proudly state that ever since 2017 the school stands with 100% placement. The placements here at LPU are quite decent when it comes to engineering with Biotechnology, this I can personally say as I, myself am an alumnae of B.Tech - M.Tech Biotechnology. Our placement season opened the very moment we were in our 3rd year 6th semester. Each of our batch mates could avail more than three offers. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure a good placement. The university has been ranked high by outside agencies also with regard to placements of the students. Aspiring Minds have ranked LPU as having Most Employable Students consecutively twice in a row for previous academics sessions. ASSOCHAM (Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India) rated LPU as Best Private University with regards to placements. Zee News Survey rated us as 11th Best in India in Placements. Several well-known & reputed companies of the industry visit LPU campus during campus placements, student training/workshops, faculty development, etc. I always think about LPU when it comes to placements. Almost more than 90% of students placed on campus at LPU. Moreover, more than 500+ companies visit LPU for recruitment including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which are placed. The best thing I like about LPU about placement is, they provide placement classes to all the students from the very first year who opt for the placement. With the help of this, they can prepare themselves for placements till the pre-final year because the companies will start visit for the recruitment of students since a pre-final year. As far as I know and have seen, every year 800+ companies have visited the campus, Not only huge biotechnological giants but also upcoming new corporate organizations have visited the university recently. Companies like Panacea biotech, Dalmia healthcare, and several others visit the campus every year. The school of biotechnology provides R & D activities for students to learn various tools and techniques. There are many examples where students from LPU have successfully gone to foreign universities and research institutions. Their curriculum is also a plus point and it has been designed in such a way that it makes it makes easier for the students to sit for placement of giant companies. Faculty members are mostly from IITs, NITs, Iims, who are ready to help the students at any time, this institute is one of the best options for the young population to opt for biotechnology. Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons / Co-curricular Competitive events, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, projects with NGOs, an, etc. , integral part of the curriculum. Students are given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. So far, the companies that have visited the campus for Food Technology include CODE NATION. I am saying this because one of my known is pursuing same course from LPU and her experience is amazing. She told me faculty members works hard tirelessly in enabling students with the acumen to apply the findings of Bio sciences in the fields of medicine, forensics, nutrition and dietetics for the benefit of the community. The curriculum has been designed in such a way that it makes it easier for the students to prepare themselves for giant exams like CSIR NET ICMR, ICAR, and GATE. With an experienced faculty of 30+ in the department who are ready to help the students round the clock, seven days a week, this institute is one of the best options for the young population to opt for biotechnology. She has Participated in technical events, conferences, workshops, sports and cultural activities help in the holistic development of students. There are BIO ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES that provides an understanding of the basic principles and applications of analytical techniques used in Biology. There were courses that provides practical exposure on basic biological tests and instrumentation techniques.
