What is the placement scenario in IMT, Nagpur? Is IMT, Nagpur a good college?

I am not sure about IMT but can comment on LPU which is best and renowned university. One of my neighbourer who studied from LPU appreciated the hard efforts of the organisation in placements. More than 700 companies visit LPU every year for campus-recruitment of students. The companies which have visited as of now are: Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amdocs, Capgemini, Verizon, SAP Labs, Hitachi Power, Videocon, L&T Technology Services, Ericsson, HCL Technologies, Asahi India, Ceasefire Industries, Sandhar Technologies, Indus tower, Decathlon Sports, Exide Industries, Emami, Eye-Q Vision, ITC Limited, Janalakshmai Financial Services, Kelloggs, MRF, Naukri, Moodys Analytics, WNS Global, Writer Corporation, Nivesh Group, OCWEN Financial, Practo and many more. My neighbourer told that LPU believes in delivering the quality, for same, it has hired faculty from the reputed institutes like IITs, NITs. The syllabus is vetted from the company officials of Cognozant, SAP, Microsoft etc. To provide updated curriculum. LPU has his own space shuttle programme, where students and faculty members are working on satellite programme with the joint help of ISRO. Apart from this, LPU offers the following: 1. Rankings 2. Updated Curriculum 3. Industry Exposure 4. Good placements 5. Community Projects 6. Centre for Excellence 7. Internal and external competitions 8. Dear Yash, IMT Nagpur is doing quite well in management studies, has earned a good reputation for itself, but it certainly isn't the best, there are a lot of better players, LPU is one of the top one. The MBA programme at LPU is a great mix of cutting edge curriculum, experiential learning pedagogy, industry interface, projects, internships and consultancies, technologies trainings and many more. The sheer size of campus and number of students provides a plethora of opportunities to students to explore their entrepreneurial skills. The multicultural intake ensures that students learn and understand cultural sensibilities which become an asset in corporate life. The most striking point however is the center for professional enhancement, the students are exposed to new ideas about personality development, professional etiquette, virtues, ethics, interpersonal and networking skills for almost full duration of the programme rather than just a few weeks of placement trainings. This inculcates these qualities in the students in much better way and go a long way into shaping the career apart from cracking the interviews. Coming to reputation, since you asked, NIRF a government agency has ranked Mittal School of business among top 50 B-schools in the country twice in a row, in some of the parameters it has even beaten most Iims and ranked no. 2 in the country ! More importantly, more than 200 companies visit the campus for recruitment of management grads only ! Which is a huge number and a big achievement. More than 97% of eligible graduates get their dream placements. It is not like any other university, you can SEE it from the first step of selection, even Iims have basic eligibility of 50% in graduation, while LPU has raised the bar to 55%. No wonder it has one of the largest intakes in the country which has over 97% placement record. Hello, I am not so aware about IMT, But I have heard a lot about LPU. LPU is a brand in itself. It has been ranked as one of the best universities by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its placements, its pedagogy, its faculty, to mention a few. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. Big companies like Google, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Amazon, Adobe, etc. Come for recruitment purpose. Most of the students are placed in good companies with high package. University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes. Students have been offered package as high as 1 Crore pa.
