What is the prime reason for students opting for an MBA: Peer pressure, job growth, salary hike, higher qualification or other reasons?

Hi, It would be wrong to generalize students' inclinations towards pursuing an MBA to one particular reason as the underlying reasons could vary greatly from individual to individual, depending upon a large number of factors. Some of the most common and popular reasons for students opting for an MBA are: -interest towards business studies and a business based career subsequently -better roles and/or designations at their work places with superior quality of work -this followed by better remuneration packages and timely ownership options with the corporation -ambition of joining family businesses or starting up on their own after acquiring quality business related knowledge and experience -stagnation in current jobs prior to MBA -low interest in the field of their graduation and the jobs secured subsequently -quick growth in the corporate world to the extent of making a C-Suite officer a few years after joining the company There could be other major factors too, that primarily drive people towards the coveted MBA Degree from the top B-Schools in the country. Also, there could be specific reasons apart from the usual ones, why an individual might want to pursue MBA.
