Hello Dear, For Indian Foreign Services and other all India Services you need to appear the UPSC Civil Service Examination. This is the only mode of direct recruitment. Indirect recruitment is done through promotion of state public service employees.

Hi,To be eligible for becoming an IFS officer, the candidate must possess a degree from an Indian University or an equivalent qualification. Those in the final year of a degree course can also appear in the Preliminary Examination taken every year by UPSC. https://www.shiksha.com/careers/civil-servant-ias-pcs-27.
