A student seeking admission to Ph.D. course shall apply on a prescribed form. The application form, duly filled in by the student in his own hand and with a passport-size photo affixed on it along with xerox copies of the documents listed below, must be sent to the Academic Section of the Institute. Admission to the Ph.D. degree course is open once in the year I. e. (September /October). Migration Certificate (No objection certificate from the University last attended)

Admissions are usually on the basis of entrance exams conducted by Universities/ Institutes. The candidates who secure a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ ST) marks in the entrance test to be eligible for interview. Relaxation for appearing in the Entrance Test may be given by the institute to those candidates who have qualified GATE/NET (UGC/ CSIR).
