I am writing my answer in accordance with the admission process in USA universities. You need to register for the common application, then you need to have your teacher's recommendation letter, this could be from anyone among your principal, faculty who can upload your mark sheet on your behalf. Lastly, you should have a very good essay which describes you completely. Adding extra activities can be an added advantage to your application. All the best.
