For B.Tech admission in DDU, the candidates must appear for JEE Main and obtain a valid rank. They have to join the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counseling (UPTAC), fill the online form, and opt for DDU in the choice-filling process. Seats are granted according to the rank in JEE Main, then after document verification and fee deposition, admission is confirmed in the university.

Eligible students have to apply online on the website of the university. Students have to appear for the Joint Entrance Test conducted by the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University. Students will be selected based on their performance in the qualifying exam and an entrance exam. For the final admission, students have to appear for the online counselling process for seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.
