    Admissions to the first year of engineering and pharmacy colleges will be based on the State Common Entrance Test MHCET and not the joint entrance exam JEE, the directorate of technical education (DTE) Maharashtra said that the entrance examination of MHTCET 2018 will be conducted for admissions into around 200 engineering institutes. MHTCET 2018 participating institutes will be located in six regions of Maharashtra: Amravati, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik and Pune.
