    Chitkara University does follow the CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) system wherein the grade points of each subject in the semester is added up and then divided by the total number of subjects. The obtained figure is the CGPA. Example: if the grade points of each subject are 9,8,8,9 and 6 then the total of this is 40. 40 would be divided by 5 to give the CGPA.
