Bank PO exam is a professional-level entrance exam through which banks induct eligible graduates for jobs on probation for a period of two years. Different banks recruit probationary officers from time to time and one has to watch out for bank notifications in leading newspapers and websites to apply for the job. Eligibility and Exam Pattern for IBPS CWE PO exam IBPS conducts Common Written Examination (CWE) as a single-window entrance exam for the position of Probationary Officers in as many as 21 public sector banks, 22 co-operative banks, 11 private banks, 8 central financial institutions, 9 companies in insurance sector, 62 regional rural banks, 13 universities and educational institutions, and 23 other related organisations and government departments in India. While different banks may have different eligibility or qualifying criteria, CWE is open to Indian citizens in the age-group of 20 to 30 years on the 1st of July of the year of examination, who are graduates from a recognised Indian university in any discipline.
