The qualifications for IIT Dharwad's varies as per the course candidates wish to apply for. However, Class 12 pass is the only qualificatipon applicable for all the UG, PG, and PhD cousres. Tabulated below are the qualifications required for IIT Dharwad's programme for admission 2024:

MTech BTech/ BE or equivalent degree in relevant stream with at least 60% aggregate
GATE + COAP Counselling
MS BTech/ BE or equivalent degree in relevant stream with at least 60% aggregate
GATE (For TA Category) and GATE + PI (for PA Category)
PhD MTech/ ME or equivalent degree in relevant stream with at least 60% aggregate
GATE/ NET scores + PI
Executive MTech BE/ BTech or ME/ M.Tech or equivalent degree in relevant stream with at least 60% aggregate
Entrance/ screening exam + PI
BSc-MSc Integrated Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate
JEE Main + JEE Advanced + JoSAA Counselling
