JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria:
Students should have been born after 1st October 1997. 5 years of age relaxation is given to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, and PwD candidates, I. e, these students should have been born after 1st October 1992. A student can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of 2 times in 2 consecutive years. Students who passed class 10+2 in 2021 or 2023 are eligible for JEE Advanced. Students who appeared in class 10+2 or equivalent examination for the first time in 2020 or 2021 and successfully registered for JEE Advanced 2021 but did not appear in any of the papers can apply for JEE Advanced 2023. Qualification for JEE Advanced is Candidates must have a score of a minimum of 75 percent marks in tier class 12th board exams. For reserved categories, the minimum score is 65 percent. Candidates can only give the JEE Advanced exam twice in consecutive years. Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in B.E. /B.Tech. Paper of JEE Main 2022. The percentages of various categories of candidates to be shortlisted are: 10% for GEN-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and the remaining 40.5% is OPEN for all.
