- Applicants must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) from a recognised board.
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Biotechnology), and English are required in class 12th.
- General Category (UR), OBC, EWS: Applicants need to have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in Class 12.
- Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories need to have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate in Class 12.
- The candidate's age should be at least 17 years old but not exceed 35 years on December 31st of the application year.

Candidates seeking admission to the BSc programme offered at King George's Medical University are required to meet the minimum KGMU BSc eligibility criteria. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and, English with at least 50% aggregate (40% aggregate for candidates who belong to reserved category) from any recognised Board can apply for admission to KGMU BSc course.
