Ranchi University BSc seats are subject to the rules of reservation laid by the Government of Jharkhand. As per the policy, 50% of seats are allocated purely based on merit. However, the rest of the 50% of seats are allocated based on categories. Tabulated below is the breakdown as per the Ranchi University BSc seat reservation policy:

    Reservation Category

    Percentage of seats reserved

    Scheduled Caste

    10%

    Schedule Tribe

    26%

    Other Backward Classes

    14%

*The university also provides a special 3% reservation for differently abled persons.
