    BIT Mesra is recognised as one of the leading engineering colleges in India as per its favourable standing in various college ranking surveys. According to the NIRF rankings 2022, BIT Mesra stands at 23rd position in engineering college in India. According to the 2022 Times Higher Education rankings, it was placed 15th on the list in India for engineering. In the 2022 QS World University Rankings for engineering and technology, it was ranked between 251-300 in the global context. In India Today’s 2022 Best Colleges Survey, BIT Mesra stood 14th among all engineering colleges in the country.
