The University is AICTE UGC, NCTE, PCI, and BCI approved. According to the IIRF University Rankings 2022, Guru Kashi University is the fifth state university in Punjab and is rated 74th overall in India. IIRF ranked Guru Kashi University, 96 out of 182 colleges in India in 2023

In 2023 IIRF University Rankings, Guru Kashi University is ranked 96 out of 182 colleges in India. In 2022, it was ranked 74 out of 161 colleges in India. Guru Kashi University is also ranked 11,694 out of 14,131 worldwide, 4,820 out of 5,830 in Asia, and 796 out of 876 in India
