    The Pratt Institute ranks highly as part of the university rankings, given out by numerous prominent publications. A major source ranks it #7 as part of its World University Rankings 2025, placing it among one of the top private universities in New York City. 

    The institute also ranks highly as part of the Arts & Design category given out by the same source, ranking #10 for History of Art & Design.

    Pratt Institute is ranked #6 in the world for art and design in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023. It is also ranked #10 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023. Additionally, College Factual ranked Pratt among the top one percent of schools for visual arts and design and among the top five percent for architecture and fine art in 2018. Pratt Institute is considered one of the top art and design colleges in the world.
