<p>The Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) is a public higher education institution located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was established in 1995 and is officially recognised by the University Grants Commission of India. SVIMS is a very small-sized coeducational Indian higher education institution that offers courses and programs leading to officially recognised higher master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked SVIMS 72 overall in India in 2019, 77 among universities, and 29th in the medical ranking. The institute has a placement cell that handles placement activities, and every year, 70-75% of students are placed in reputed organizations with a median salary of Rs. 2,60,000 for UG students. The highest salary package offered is 20 lacs per year. Companies such as Cognizant, Mphasis, Capgemini, etc. are top recruiters of the college. The placement cell conducts pre-placement talks at the campus to inform and brief students about job opportunities. The institute offers the 4+1&frasl;2-year M.B.B.S. course with a one-year compulsory rotating internship, and there are 175 seats which are filled through NEET UG exam. SVIMS also offers postgraduate courses in almost all super specialty subjects including surgery, medicine, etc., and a variety of doctoral courses including MCh in Neurosurgery, Cardiac Surgery among others and DM in Cardiology, Neurology etc. There are more than 28 postgraduate and post doctoral courses.</p>
