    VELS School of Maritime Studies has 101-150 rank by NIRF ranking among the marine engineering colleges in India. Also VELS campus has secured A1 grade by the ministry of shipping, government of India. Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies was ranked 47 in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) pharmacy ranking in 2023.
