    According to the Times Higher Education, the York University is ranked at #401 and McMaster University ranks at #116 under the category of “World University Rankings 2025”. As compared to last year's ranking, York University has shown a drop of 50 positions, ranked at #351 in 2024. Whereas, McMaster University has lost 13 positions, ranked at #103 in 2024. The comparative rankings of York University and Simon Fraser University are given as follows:
