What is the refund policy if I can't take the DET after buying it?

Yes, Duolingo is approved by San Jose State University along with other tests like IELTS, TOEFL and also PTE. The students interested to get into the University are required to get minimum scores set for the eligibility criteria for these tests.

For Indian students, Georgia State University is no longer accepting Duolingo scores. For PG courses, the minimum scores may vary as per the courses. But, for UG courses. here are the minimum scores required.

If you do not take the DET test within this window, the waiver is forfeited.
