What is the required percentile or rank to get admission in TISS?

Some of the important topics that are covered under Mathematical and Logical Reasoning section are: Basic Arithmetic, Basic Geometry, basic Trigonometry Basic Statistics Number Series, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. On the basis of the previous year question papers analysis, candidates can expect the following type of questions from the topics mentioned: Basic Arithmetic includes- Ratio-proportions, HCF-LCM, Time & work, Simple and compound interest, percentages, numbers, etc. Basic Geometry includes- Triangles lines, angles, square & rectangles, circles- radius, diameter, arc, chord, etc. , Cubes, base angle theorem, Pythagoras theorem, and so forth. Logical Reasoning includes- Clocks & calendars, direction, alphabet series, number series, statement conclusion, arguments, assumptions, logical connectivity, Venn diagram, puzzle, and so forth.

Candidates who will appear for the Online Assessment must follow the important tips for preparation mentioned below:

1. Know the programme: Candidates must ensure to familiarise themselves with the programme they have applied for. Candidates must know the programme structure and learning areas. 2. The latest events: Candidates must stay updated with the current events happening related to the programme applied for. Candidates must focus on reading articles and newspapers. 3. Enhance communication skills: Extempore and Personal Interview round assesses the candidate's communication skills. To enhance the skill, candidates must practice by preparing for common interview questions like a brief about themselves, inspiration to pursue this field of study, strengths and weaknesses; and How to improve the weaknesses; and Long-term career goals; how to handle stress and pressure and so forth. 4. Listening skills: Along with communication skills, candidates must focus on enhancing listening skills. 5. No use of non-verbal communication 6. Review DAF: Candidates must read their Detail Application Form before appearing for Online Assessment rounds. 7. Do not fake academic achievements 8. Ask questions: The better way to end the conversation is by asking questions to panel members related to the programme applied to demonstrate the candidate's interest in the programme.

Preparing for the TISS entrance test syllabus will not be as tough as you think if you are already preparing for other Management entrance examinations like CAT, XAT or GMAT. 

The only thing required is consistency for one month, syllabus is quite similar to other entrance examinations for management programs. 

Here are a few things to keep in mind to cover your TISSNET Syllabus in one month : 

• Solve the previous year's question papers, there is never a major change in the pattern of questions. You should solve at least past 5 year question papers to be familiar with the time management and question framing strategy in TISSNET Examination. 

• Solve as many mock tests as you can. No amount of theory based learning will be worth it if you have not practiced to retain it all during the examination. Join a mock test program with any leading institutes for mock tests.

The TISS Online Assessment round is divided into two stages: Extempore reflection and Personal Interview. The Online Assessment will be conducted for 20-30 minutes. In the Extempore round of the TISS Online Assessment, candidates will be asked to present a reflection on a given topic in front of the three panel members. The extempore round will be conducted online via Zoom application. The topic will be in accordance with the program applied for. Candidates will have to present the reflection for a duration of two to three minutes. In case, candidates are not comfortable with the first topic, they can request for second chance and change the topic. However, candidates will not be given a third chance to change the topic.
