5 years agoDear Sandeep, The eligibility criteria to get admission in B.Tech at LPU is that candidate must have 60% aggregate marks in 12th with Maths, Physics and english. However there are few exceptions:
1. 5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants)
2. 10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (I. e. A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), Subject to verification from Selection committee* of the University. B.Tech programs is 60% in 12th with Maths, Physics and English. As per the admissions 2020 The Eligibility for B.Tech is 60% in 10+2 with (English, Physics & Mathematics ) will have to appear in LPU NEST whereas those who have scored 90% in +2 or scored 90 percentile in JEE Mains are exempted from LPU NEST and moreover LPU has been ranked top 80 amongst all private and government institutions by NIRF, MHR, GOI. Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017 or JEE (Main)
OR
In case marks scored in 10+2 are 90% or above, then LPUNEST-2017 or JEE (Main) will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission. -
Hi, It basically depends on the programme in which you are interested and want to apply for. Due to the national Lockdown, the admissions for 2020 sessions are being done online. There is direct admission to some courses and in some its mandatory to qualify the LPU NEST exam and in some, LPU NEST exam + Interview. Dear Sandeep, its only 60% marks required in the 12th class, along with PCM. Plus point this time LPU giving scholarship by considering previous two qualifications, if student clear just LPU NEST entrance exam. Furthermore, at least 70% marks are required for scholarship and as student performed better in their previous studies so scholarship offered by the university is also better.
