What is the required score in class 12th to get admission in a college for B.Tech?

There are basically two ways to get admission for Engineering in India. The first way is through entrance exams. Till this year there were several entrance exams including:
AIEEE
IIT-JEE
1. A minimum of 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as the subjects.
2. At least 40 percent marks in 12

You will have to qualify the entrance test conducted by the university or you will have to clear JEE mains.
