Every year, the score varies but the percentile remains on an average. If you have a decent profile and you are a General category candidate, you have to get more than 94 percentile for the interview call. -
Above 94 percentile in CAT is generally the cutoff. IIT - Roorkee consider not only the standardized entrance test scores, but the overall profile of the candidate including academic background, work experience, gender diversity, etc. while giving a call to the shortlisted candidates.
A good academic and professional work experience portfolio can increase the candidate's selection chance. You may be invited for the second phase of the admission process, i.e. group discussion and personal interview depending on the cutoff figures and a composite score will be calculated for the final merit list.
