No. M.Tech can only be done through students, who are from B.Tech background or have a M.Sc. Degree in Computer application. Moreover, I recommend you directly contact 18001024431, LPU - head office to know if something can be done for that.

No, after BCA you can't take admission in M.Tech. You can only take admission in MCA after BCA. Only B.Tech students are eligible for M.Tech.
  • Dear Student, eligibility criteria for M.Tech is pass with 60% aggregate marks in BE or B.Tech. (CSE or IT or ECE) or MCA or M.Sc. (IT or Computer Science) or equivalent subject to qualifying LPU-NEST or GATE. Or
In case marks scored in B.Tech. (CSE or ECE or IT) or MCA are 80% or above, then LPU-NEST or GATE will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission. So, for doing M.Tech, you have to do MCA first. For further queries you can contact us on Toll Free: 1800 102 4431.

Masters in Technology (M.Tech) computer science course can be pursued by B.Tech students or students having M.Sc in computer science. After BCA its not possible but MCA is a good option after BCA for getting into IT jobs.

As per rules you need to have B.Tech in allied subjects to be eligible for M.Tech or B.Sc in IT. Why not you try for MCA instead from reputed university?

LPU's placement record is generally strong but varies by course and student performance. Top branches like CSE, IT, and some core engineering and management programs see better placements, with big companies like Microsoft, Google (via off-campus), Amazon, Cognizant, Accenture, and Infosys visiting over the years. A few students do get very high packages, but these are exceptions, not the norm. Many students get average packages in the range of 4–6 LPA, especially in mass-recruitment roles. Your skills, internships, projects, communication, and networking matter more than just the college name, even at LPU or any other university.

hi,

Law placements at LPU are decent and growing, but you should keep realistic expectations. Top and proactive students usually secure internships and jobs in law firms, corporate legal departments, litigation chambers, NGOs, and LPOs. The university regularly organizes moot courts, legal aid camps, internships, and interactions with advocates and judges, which help in networking. However, like most law colleges (except a few NLUs), campus placements are not guaranteed for everyone. A lot depends on your mooting, drafting skills, internships, research work, communication, and initiative. If you build a strong CV, LPU can provide platf
